I am a beginner fish owner …?
When I was younger, I owned a fish is 20 gallon tank, but they never lived a very long time. I recently given set of 2.5 gallon tank, that came with the gravel filter, hood and lights, together with the water softener. I put a comet goldfish in it, with that platty I bought in a shop. They got along fine for a while but after a week, platty became very aggressive with Goldy, chasing him around the tank and nipping his fins, also far from him food storage. I am also finding the water was getting cloudy rather quickly, which made me wonder if the filter actually works as it should. So my question is, what am I doing wrong? Whether they have two small fish u 2.5 gallon tank too? Should I get rid of platty or he will stop being aggressive after a while, and why the water is getting cloudy so quickly?
