Pressing flowers to book?
Hi I want to present my flowers (carnation), with a great book, any tips? I heard something on wax paper, but I dont have any friends]
You can use a tissue or tissue papers, as well. There are two ways of doing, either within the site books, or between two heavy books. Either way, put down under the flower tissue and above the flower as well. Do not try to make a group of flowers together, and they get all tangled, and it will look better if they are not separated. It is important that you lay flowers down carefully, because once it gets in shape, you can not go back and re – it forms. I suggest bending the right where the stem meets blossom, so the flower can lie pretty much flat. Simply embed a layer of tissue, and then carefully in the form of a flower, then another layer of tissue. It is not important if you do it inside a book, or between the two books, but you need to hit the books or other heavy weight across the top so that the flower actually gets pressure. The amount of time it takes for it to press the flower is different, and they are usually not pressed to think a lot of moisture is dissipated of the flower. I would leave them in their press surrogates for at least a month before checking them. See the end of the month, and if it is not pressed very well, do not pick it up, just put weight back to the top. You will know when it is properly pressed it will hold it's shape, so you can wear it without ruining the shape. Good luck.
